Protecting Your Bank Account SIM Card

The rate of phone hacking and subsequently stealing of money from a bank account have been on the rise in the last couple of weeks in Nigeria. When a phone is lost or stolen, hackers use the sim card to have access to the owner's bank account which of course leads to a sole aim. This line must be the particular number linked to the bank account for it to be successfully hacked.
The question now is how can such SIM card be protected/locked to avoid access in the event of the phone being stolen or lost? Don't forget to also know that phone lock is different from SIM lock and below are the steps to lock a SIM Card for both iPhone and Android enabled phones.

The first information to have handy before you start the process is the current/default SIM PIN which for most network providers is either 0000, 1234, or 1111. MTN uses 0000 but if after inputting this code and it doesn't work, it means you have previously changed the SIM PIN. Repeating that same wrong code (for 1 or 2 more times) will lead to the SIM card being blocked. According to MTN customer care, you have to block the SIM to have the chance of getting a new SIM PIN by entering the PUK number from the SIM pack or call customer care to get your PUK number. After putting the PUK number, you will be prompted to put a new SIM PIN.

Steps to lock a SIM card (Android Users)
  1. Tap "Settings" on the screen
  2. Tap "Security"
  3. Tap 'Set up SIM card lock"
  4. Enable the option for SIM PIN by moving the slider
  5. Enter the current/default "SIM PIN"
Steps to lock a SIM card (iPhone Users):

  1. Tap "Settings" on the screen
  2. Tap "Phone"
  3. Tap "SIM PIN"
  4. Enable the option for SIM PIN by moving the slider
  5. Enter the current/default "SIM PIN"
  6. Tap "Done"
Steps to change a SIM card PIN (Android Users)

  1. Tap "Settings", "Security", "Set up SIM card lock", "Change SIM PIN"
  2. Enter "Old SIM PIN"
  3. Enter a "NEW PIN"
  4. Re enter the "NEW PIN" and ok

Steps to change a SIM card PIN (iPhone Users)

  1. Tap "Settings", "Phone", "SIM PIN", "Change PIN"
  2. Enter current/default PIN and tap "Done"
  3. Enter a "NEW PIN" and tap "Done"
  4. Re enter the "NEW PIN" and tap on "Done"

Health v Power

It beats my imagination seeing most African leaders hold on to power even when their health condition is failing them. Some end up sleeping during conferences, world sumits, etc.

The current pathetic situation in Nigeria is a big cause for concern for those who love this country. My advice for Mr President is for him to hand over full mantle to his vice and take proper care of his health. I strongly have confidence in Prof Osinbanjo to do a good job in addressing the current crisis but to be honest, Nigeria is not worth dying for.

We can't continue asking God for help when we can't help ourselves in our own human capacity. Anyway, what do I know self as an ordinary man.

Insecurity
Dwindling economy
Failing Education

A brief look at these power embedded quotes.

"Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power". -Abraham Lincoln"

"The stupidity of men always invites the insolence of power"..Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Power is so characteristically calm, that calmness in itself has the aspect of strength"...Edward Bulwer-Lytton

"The least one can say of power is that a vocation for it is suspicious"....Jean Rostand

Let those concerned change before they will be victimized by the one incharge of their lives

Posts Recap and Nigeria At 55

Just a recap to some of my posts months back.

APC and PMB were only prepared to win the 2015 elections just as PDP and GEJ were preparing to unveil GMB's election disqualification.

The consequences.

The present ruling body had no post election blueprint for governance and the present opposition party lack defeat management. As a Nigerian I still dont have an idea what this Govt have in mind after four months.
Ministerial List is Nigeria is now a degree certificate.
Anti corruption war is now an avenue for revenge.
Everyday lies about the security situation of this country.

As we mark 55 years of existence tomorrow, I will always be proud of calling her my country despite all these. One great joy is the fact that after over six years, we now have a leader who makes decisions on his own rather than internal and external forces.

I hope and pray for a better Nigeria with one Love.
God Bless Us All.

2015/2016 EPL Season

Its no more news that the 2015/2016 EPL season starts this sunday August 2, 2015 with the traditional Community Shield match between last season's league champion and the FA cup winner.

This is another Arsenal v Chelsea that has alot in stock for us to watch especially with the movement of Petr Cech to emirates stadium.

Alot have been said about this new season as regards club who re enforced with some juicy signings notably Manchester United and Liverpool but the title contenders to me will still not change and I mean Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool with due respect to other teams.

It is still tagged as the most exciting league because every game is unpredictable with lots of spectators and awareness involved.
Man Utd v Tottenham is the first game and at lunch time kick off on August 8, 2015.

Welcome to the 2015/2016 Barclays Premier League.

My View On "We Didn't Sell Weapons To Nigeria Due To Human Rights Violation"

It beats my imagination when I keep hearing this flimsy excuse by the American Government but let us remind ourselves of these Human Right Violations executed by US:

CIA was behind every move in Mumbai Terror that happened in India.
Hamas was created in response to Israeli's aggression against the Palestinians
Hezbollah was created in Lebanon in order to fight Israeli's aggression against the Lebanese
Iraq was completely invaded because there was an intelligence report that Saddam Hussein was in possession of weapons of mass destruction but when the invasion ended, no traces of such weapons and over 90% Iraqis that were civilians lost their lives

You can help me complete the rest of how US execute its deadly foreign policies and imposing imperialism in this world.
Permit me to also conclude that they are the worst Violator of Human Rights.

Now Nigeria can do without their help. All we have to do is love each other, be united in the struggle and we can eventually get there.
No outsider can decorate your home to your own specific taste.

MAY GOD LEAD US THROUGH, AMEN

Arsenal's BAT2015 Triumph

There is no other perfect way to begin a pre season other than a trophy. This to me is a signal of more trophies to come. I must commend the players for putting in  a fantastic performance especially the likes of Santi Carzola, Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott and new boy Petr Cech.

The best player award given to Santi was well deserved. Having a hand in all three goals in the final especially the one-two touch with Ozil which steered in the third goal.
As we look forward to the second pre season tournament,  the emirates cup, it is my hope that Wenger would sign at least a 20goal striker.

Arsenal Signings

Its no news that the transfer window is currently in active mood with teams making frantic plans to improve their squad. The signing of Petr Cech is a great message of title ambition from the gunners but there are vital areas that need similar qualitu addition.

A defensive midfielder and a 20goal striker at least is required for the team to really usurp the title from chelsea. Looking at the contract renewal of skipper Arteta, it looks like the DM pursuit might have hit the rock but it will never take away the fact Arteta is no longer reliable in that area. The team a road block midfielder to compliment Coqueline b3cause he cant play all games. Someone who can hold his own when the team is in an attacking mood to retard a possible counter.

Giroud cannot give us consistent goals and as such a 20goal striker is needed. The shape of Higuain is an ideal target in my own opinion but it looks the manager prefers Benzema probably because he is cheaper.      Untill these two key area are resolved, I dont see us fully ready to challenge for the title.
